TPACK Quest

TPACK Quest:

This portion of the blog is to reflect all of the images of the TPACK Quest Badges that I have earned in this course, as well as sharing my final reflection on my experiences working through Teaching & Learning with Technology and the TPACK Quest.

The TPACK Teacher Quest

Purpose: to facilitate learning opportunities where teacher candidates can develop the knowledge and skills necessary for 21st century teaching and learning.

Objective: to navigate a series of challenging tasks designed to break down previous conceptions of technology and rebuild it to enhance your unique capacity to effectively design and execute tech-enhanced learning opportunities.

Throughout my experience in this technology class, I have developed both my interest and my skill set in technology. How we gained this experience throughout the last six weeks of courses is through the process of achieving badges.

Reflection:

My overall reflection of this course is that this course has been quite difficult for me, as previous to this I did not have as much familiarization to different technological functions as I would have liked to have had. However, now reflecting back from a mere six weeks prior, it is evident to me that my engagement, interest, and successes with technology and its positive attributes to the teaching trade are much more advanced. Achieving the majority of these badges gave me a sense of accomplishment, as I challenged myself and have worked vigorously to learn in the weekly tasks. I am confident that I will use a good portion of these newly attained skills in my own future classroom.

Personally, I would like to reflect on the Digital ID Badge, as to me this was the beginning of my technological success. This badge also allowed me to reflect my opinions by creating digital footprints such as my blog and Pinterest account. I also saw the value in this, as these are social tools that can be used for self-promotion as a teacher candidate and future teacher. It also allows the user to be reflective not only to themselves but to all educational professionals.

I enjoyed the challenges presented in this class, and I hope you take the time to view the rest of my blog!
