GH Intro

Greetings! Welcome to My Genius Hour Digital Portfolio.

This blog will attempt to encourage the use of Technology in Education, as this blog is for a Technology in Education class for Teacher Candidates at Brock University!

I will begin in the posts with an introduction of to the course, as well as the focus of labs (one blog post per week in lab. These posts will be dedicated to analyze and reflect on my labs and my confidence in completing the assigned task for the purpose of enhancing my own education, but also to have the opportunity to enhance student education in my future years as a teacher.

In my pages tabs, I will demonstrate the importance of Genius Hour (GH) reflecting in one tab on the importance of Genius Hour, and in another introducing its concepts the powerpoint tool Powtoons. Following this the next tab will show the use of Animoto to develop a terrific GH Intro Movie about my Genius Hour Question. In the next tab, I will discuss my TED Talk, to give my presentation more personality and to reflect in person what brought me to asking the question I did, and to engage my audience in all things SPATULA related. The last tab will be dedicated to my TPACK Quest, which underlines all of my successes throughout the course. With each badge earned, it is an achievement in the overall goal of unity and success within the classroom, but also an encouraging step for someone such as me who had a very difficult time in the beginning of this course to complete anything technology related.
